Teen Fatally Shot during a Domestic Disturbance at aresidence in Lincoln County

Lincoln County, 12/31/2023 ~ The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a911 call reporting a person shot at a residence in rural Lincoln County on DodsonRoad, Troy, Missouri. The incident involved a Domestic Disturbance that resultedin the death of a 16-year-old male by gunshot wound.

All parties involved in the incident have been accounted for and were transportedto the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for interviews as the investigation unfolds.Sheriff Rick Harrell expressed his deepest condolences stating, “Our hearts go outto the family and friends of the victim. The loss of a young life is a tragedy, and weare committed to a thorough and transparent investigation to fully understand allthe events as they happened.”

The Sheriff’s Office is working closely with the Lincoln County Coroner’s Officeto gather all the facts in this case. The Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation tothe community for their cooperation and emphasizes that the safety of ourcommunity is a top priority.
