Special Investigations Unit (SIU)
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is dedicated to investigating and dismantling drug trafficking organizations and other criminal enterprises operating within Lincoln County. Staffed solely by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, the SIU focuses on identifying, apprehending, and prosecuting individuals involved in drug-related offenses and other targeted criminal activity.
Our SIU investigators receive advanced training in complex investigative techniques, surveillance operations, and the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials, including clandestine drug labs.
While protecting the citizens of Lincoln County is the SIU’s primary mission, the unit also works alongside federal agencies when cases cross jurisdictional lines or require additional resources.
